Here is a sampling of some of my latest work, commissions, sales and special projects.  Lover’s Moon (Ipo Mahina) In this commissioned wedding portrait, the newly married couple rise up in joy. This was the scene of their beach wedding in Hawaii. In my picture, I’ve added a touch of magic to the festivities.  Santa Baby I couldn’t resist painting this Christmas portrait of my friend’s new baby!  Shenandoah Splendor This panorama is based on a beautiful view of the Shenandoah valley and it’s beautiful hills at sunset.  Baby’s Window This pet portrait was a special birthday gift for a feline enthusiast! A peaceful scene, purchased by a client looking to turn it into actual stained glass.  This painting was commissioned as an opening night gift for an actor starring in Jekyll and Hyde at the Bankhead Theatre in California.
I took some publicity photos of Chris, and created a “vintage” painting, made to resemble a Victorian era theatre poster.  Recently I was delighted to attend the cd release party/concert of the Laurence Hobgood trio, at the famous Green Mill jazz club in Chicago. Laurence premiered several new numbers from his upcoming album “Honor Thy Fathers”. A couple of the tunes I really loved were “White Cloud Way” and “Tryptych”. I combined both of those ideas into this trio of Himalayan paintings. I’m so happy they’ve found a place in Laurence’s home.
Ask me about framing options ...    Three of my recent paintings based on Joni Mitchell's "Blue" album, going off to their new home. Check out my Joni card collection in the card store!   Recently my dear friend Jamie asked me to paint this little picture for her. It was in memory of the daughter of her friend. This young lady had bravely battled cancer for five years.
I posted the painting, and it seemed to resonate with a lot of folks. I'd like to do something positive and constructive with it, so I have turned it into a set of greeting cards. Each set comes with 8 "wish" cards, assembled with love by me. They will sell for my usual price, with a portion of the proceeds to benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Send me a message on my contact page, to order your set today. Here is one of my latest sales. I spotted this little stand of birch trees one evening, walking home from my studio. It seemed like the last hint of winter. I painted one, and didn’t want to stop, so it become a triptych. Watercolor, acrylic and ink on paper.
